Pandy Mill is a glass studio where glass artist, Jan Singleton, makes stained glass windows and fused glass panels to commission.
There is also additional space for a gallery.
The gallery displays a variety of visual arts (see 'The Gallery' & 'future events') depending on the current guest artists,
but visitors will always find Jan's glass art alongside paintings, textiles, or sculptures in wood and other materials.

'Spotted Flycatcher'
Private commission. The Spotted Flycatcher is a 'red alert' bird. This client was very happy to have this bird nesting in her garden and wanted the window to represent that.
The colour palette for the glass I use is enormous. There is such a wealth of colour. Shades weave and blend in and out of each glass sheet.
You may be surprised to learn that there are 390,238 unique colours in 'The Spotted flycatcher' window.
Also, see the difference between the glass laying down on the template table and then when it is lifted with transmitted light. Amazing!

'Flowers For Mother, My Gift To You’

beautiful stained glass windows designed and created by glass artist Jan Singleton
My daughter gave birth to our 1st grandchild and it got me thinking about Mothers.
The
bond of a Mother and child is so strong. The feeling is hard to put into words. We
will do anything to help and protect them.
The inspiration for the windows is to celebrate all Mothers of the
world. The windows represent Mothers Love. Roses are soft but strong just like
Mothers.
We strive to be like our Mothers. To make our Mothers proud. Roses seem to be the perfect way to represent ‘loving and giving’.
These are my versions of 2 beautiful roses.
I am a Mother, my daughter is a Mother, but more importantly these
flowers are for my Mother, who has given me everything.
All over the world, in everyday situations,
Mothers give freely and willingly to their children. Sometimes sacrificing their
own emotional needs. Unconditional love.

Jan made a new stained glass window for 'Inside Out' Exhibition, entitled "Breathe Out"
"Breathe Out"
Inspired initially by the surrounding landscape, the colours and views around us have a profound calming effect. The window represents a mixture of the rubbish we all sometimes speak and hear others speak. Just pause, take a look around you and take a deep breath instead.
"Look carefully and you can see a man breathing out..."
The glass studio & gallery is owned by glass artist Jan Singleton and Richard Singleton.
Jan and Richard have lived in the Netherlands for over 20 years and moved to Pandy in the summer of 2005.
Jan is an established glass artist and you can find more details of her work by following this link. (Jan Singleton).
Richard teaches physics in a local school and supports Jan in any technical aspects of her work.
Jan and Richard are both totally committed to a vision of promoting the visual arts within the local community and beyond. The gallery will display Jan's glass work and other artists from near and far.
Jan and Richard welcome groups that wish to visit during the week.
Jan can give a short talk about stained glass and let you see work in progress in the studio.
There is a tearoom with fresh coffee and homemade cake being served.
